Rick Clark (owner of RC Roofing) installed a 2 ply roof on our 1923 home 16 years ago. We experienced a leak recently with the rains and so I called and RC Roofing replaced a portion of the roof and did some routine maintenance, ensuring that the vents that go through the roof were well waterproofed. And Rick noticed a couple of our Spanish tiles were broken, so he replaced them (and extended the repair area) at no additional charge. $3K was the total cost which considering all that they did, to be quite reasonable. And Rick came out to check everything out before he collected payment. Class act and excellent handywork. No more leaks after the repair. Yay!

We’ve had the pleasure of working with both Nick as well as Rick, and we found them to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable to repair the flat roof on our very old home. They are clearly true experts and I would trust them with any of our future needs.

RC Roofing replaced our roof in 2020. 4 years on it still looks great. Rick offered good advice on color and other options. We still love the result. Once the work started, they finished within one week. We had a problem with the gutter last week, Rick came out to inspect quickly and the problem is now resolved. Rick and his team are absolutely amazing! I noticed a leak in my roof during the January 2024 storm that hit San Diego. RC Roofing was referred by a neighbor and I called the same day. Rick came out to inspect my roof on the same day of the storm and provided a proposal the very next day. I was impressed by Rick's communication with me and his honesty with regards to amount of clients that contacted him after the storm, so I knew it may take a few weeks to a month until he was able to fix my roof. Once the roof replacement start date was scheduled, Rick and his team showed up on time everyday and they finished the roof in a little less than three days. I was amazed with how clean and nail-free my yard was after the completion. Rick's crew were professional and friendly. Many of my neighbors were impressed by the work and asked me to provide his information so they could contact him for their roof repair. We had an excellent experience working with RC Roofing - specifically engaging with Rick and Nick. First, I appreciated their quick and clear communication - found them responsive and respectful of our time (unlike other companies in the area that can't bother to call you back or provide a timely estimate). The assessment of our roof was thorough and the price estimate fair and transparent on any potential additional cost. And the quality of their work was impressive, never thought I'd describe a roof as beautiful, but it is! I'm so pleased with the results as well as the careful prep to not damage our plants around the house, plus they left our property clear and tidy.

The word “excellence” comes to mind for RC Roofing, Inc. Here is our story: My wife and I needed a new roof on our home in Chula Vista. Our home was constructed in 1979 and it was time, it also had a few minor leaks. From getting the on-site inspection, receiving the estimate/proposal, scheduling ad conducting the work, RC Roofing provided tip-top service! Nick Scarcela, the estimator, conducted a thorough examination of the roof identifying areas of need and explained in detail every step of the process. I let him know I was getting more estimates, and he advised that I listen carefully before asking any questions, this was sound advice. Upon receiving the written estimate, Nick took the time to answer all questions, and clearly explained what needed to be done and why. The proposal was well written and covered all aspects of the job with detailed pricing included. Price sheets for different types of wood for the roof were included in the proposal. I received estimates from three other companies, but those proposals were far less informative even though the prices were competitive. Our preference was for RC Roofing because they gave us high confidence, they would do a great job. We are pretty picky, and we wanted to get the best roof replacement we could. RC Roofing, Inc. worked with us on scheduling the job, and they conducted the work during the best possible time for us, shortly after the holidays in early January 2024. During the work, they showed us whenever new materials, particularly for replacing old wood sheeting and other wood pieces such as eave starter boards were required. They installed two layers of top-of-the-line underlayment, put on a drip edge, new bird stops, and added venting to the attic. The existing cement tiles were reused, some new ones were also installed, by doing so the correct coverage on the roof was achieved, prior to the new roof being installed, they determined the original tiles were not spaced with proper precision. The work was done in 4 consecutive days, the estimate stated 3 to 5 days. This was important to us, to start the job and finish it without any delays. Rick Clark, the owner of RC Roofing, Inc. was on the job site several times to make sure the job was going smoothly. We also extended the roof by a couple feet by the exterior portion of our front door entryway. Rick’s advice to the crew provided the final job with a consistent look with the rest of the area by the front door. Rick is very detail-minded and that was most appreciated! There is simply no other company I would ever consider for roofing needs after our superior experience with RC Roofing, Inc.

Happy Customer! From start to finish, getting a new roof has been a smooth and pleasant experience. From the owner, Rick, and his coordinator, Nick, I have had prompt and polite service. All my many questions were answered patiently and thoroughly. I sought bids from 3 other contractors but this company was the easiest to work with, and stood above the rest in customer service, with plenty of experience to assure me they would do an excellent job. Their price wasn't the lowest but I thought it was fair and made sense. The proposal was detailed so I knew exactly what to expect. The work went quickly, was completed in 2 days. All the workers were pleasant and cheerful. The tear off crew arrived as scheduled and quickly removed all the shingles in just a few hours. They cleaned up beautifully after themselves. (I had to tell my gardener he didn't need to come because the tear off crew had used blowers and my whole yard was tidy!) Then another crew came to install all the elements that make a modern roof. The finished roof is beautiful! The owner, Rick came by to inspect the work and address any concerns. I had a couple of little things I wanted addressed. He took them seriously and addressed them immediately. This is a top notch company. I recommend them without hesitation.
